burberry miniatures

Hallo,

Bella

Top 5 of 2014 - anything else

Hello, so I'm gonna finish this little series today with five things I loved but cannot match anywhere else!

First of all, my iPhone. I have to explain that I always refused to have a mobile phone. I mean, look at the world, everybody is just walking around with their eyes tacked to a screen, talking on their headphones and living on the internet. So, when my parents asked me if I wanted to have a mobile phone, I always said no at once. I just liked being independent and free and not always available for everyone!    But as I got older, I stayed on my own more often, was with friends or at school, and so I thought it was time to get on with the present and leave the past behind, right? I bought myself an iPhone 5S, and I'm addicted. This was probably what I feared most, but I can't help it. My iPhone is the one thing I don't leave the house without. The one thing that's always in my hand. I sometimes wonder if I would still be able to relinquish it, I honestly don't think so. But anyway, this is definitely on my top 5 list.

My scrapbook - we started this in school and instead of just doing what I had to, this became a real passion. I put such a lot of memories and little thoughts in here, I am sure that I will start to smile when I reopen this in 50 years from now, sitting on an arm chair with a cup of tea and look at all of this work, thinking about the "good old times" !

My baby - I got this guitar in February and I honestly wouldn't know what to do without it. I love its sound, its beauty, its shape (its an Epiphone EJ 200), even its smell. This is my love.

Something very different now - a Pink tumbler. I went to Victoria's secret in London because I really really wanted a bottle and a tumbler, and I got both. I drink a lot more since I have them, as they can really carry a lot ot water, and I take one of them to school every day to make sure I get enough water.

And at last my Philips Smoothie Blender - I nearly forgot it as I haven't been using it a lot in winter, but it is perfect for making refreshing healthy smoothies in summer! I got it for my birthday and it never failed its job until now.

So, this was all of my Top products of 2014, I hope you enjoyed. See you soon

Top 5 of 2014 - Fashion

Hello everyone! This is my favourite five fashion pieces of 2014 :-)

These Esprit jeans are not for nothing called 24/7 jeggins - they are my "jump-in-and-go" everyday jeans. They feel like a second skin, are amazingly flexible and so so cozy! Love love love.

Another great cozy basic - Brandy shirts. This is so slouchy and nice and whenever I get up with sleepy closed eyes I just grab this and I know my day will be bearable.

This is more room decoration than clothing to me - I ordered this beautiful Asos swing dress in autumn, I thought it would be perfect for Christmas. And then, because I really wanted to first wear it on Christmas Eve (which I did by the way), I hang it up on my wardrobe and it adorned my room from then on...

I bought my Vagabond Grace at the day I went to Ben's concert. After having them on my mind for months, I decided to buy them as a kind of memento of this gig when I first wore them, and I really do think about those days in Vienna everytime I have them on. And I really do that a lot, I basically live in these - they are just so beautiful and easy to combine, perfect. Love love love again.

And last but not least my Go-to Cardigan from Mango - everyday, every night, every colour, every combination - this one always works. I live in it.
 See you soon

Top 5 of 2014 - Music

Like I already said about 10 times before, I am a music person. And therefore, I am of course sharing my favourite 2014 albums with you.

First of all, I Forget Where We Were. I think I've said enough when I name it to be the current soundtrack of my life.

And of course I also have to put Every Kingdom in here, as well as all of his EPs and unreleased songs, this is just what I listened to most and what I will always connect with this year.

Then another older album I really fell in love with recently - If You Leave by Daughter. This is probably the saddest and most depressive album I've ever heard, but as I love sad and depressing music I of course was bound to love it. Elena's voice is so, i don't know, clear and gloomy and melancholic and the lyrics are just touching and so true. Smother and Still are my favourite tracks right now.

I remember the day Ultraviolence was released. I was ill, at home in my bed, so I downloaded the album to my mobile phone and listened to it about four times in a row. Then I decided to order it on vinyl.
I love Lana, I love her deep, husky voice and her, I don't know, beautiful sadness. Ultraviolence comforts me somehow and makes me so calm. Sad, but calm. And she's so beautiful.

And last, another old one I had on repeat this year: Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever Ago. This is just flawless. Re:Stacks is my best companion for writing letters in the candlelight after midnight, and it's great company, for sure.

Of course this is not everything. Just to name a few other musical loves of the past 12 months - Damien Rice, Hozier, Coldplay, Birdy, Josh Rouse, Jacko Hooper, Charlie Simpson - there's too much great music in the world to ever be finished.

Top 5 of 2014 - Books

Another hard decision - but this is what I enjoyed reading in 2014 most.

First of all: I made a big resolution some day in October, and I have to admit that I still haven't had enough time to finish it, but I really wanted to read Tolstoy's War and Peace. I found it on my nana's bookshelf and I just thought it was something I really should have read in my life, and actually I did enjoy it. It's not always easy to concentrate and it sometimes gets a bit long-winded, but I have already read Anna Karenina a few years ago and I somehow love the observing, detailed style and I love the atmosphere it creates. I just really really need more time.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a movie I absolutely love, and I have always wanted to finish the book so I finally did.

Of course The fault in our stars didn't walk past me, and I found myself in tears at the end although I had already seen the movie twice before reading it. And I like being in tears over books.

I just finished Looking for Alaska and I have to say that I might like it even more. Really sad, but so great.

And at last one of my all time favorites - Pride and Prejudice. No explanation needed, I love it.

See you soon

Top 5 of 2014 - Beauty

I'm starting with my 5 days of " Top 5" series today and I'm trying to post regularly after this.

It's hard to decide between all my beloved beauty things, but I think I used those five most:

The Clinique Line-Smoothing Concealer - I really loved this concealer all year, it's perfectly smooth and light but covers without making you look cakey. I just love this.
Another thing I used everyday is my Sleek Storm eyeshadow palette. I use it basically everyday and for everything, also for highlighting and contouring my face, and the golden shades are just gorgeous!
My favourite nail Polish has to be this O.P.I. one which is great for simple beautiful nails, a nice basic.
Then I have two hair products I absolutely loved, first of all my tangle teezer. I got myself a compact one as I use to just throw everything in my bag and I always take it with me wherever I go.

And finally I just bought my first "invisibobbles": they are scrunchies that kind of look like old fashioned telephone wires, and they are so much more comfortable than the regular ones! I have never got a headache as I usually tend to since I only use them!
